Family Resources

Throughout the year we provide leadership and materials in many different ways, all in an effort to educate people on the benefit of choosing Hospice of Chattanooga care services. We have regular support groups, special days for education on a specific topic along with a team of people who represent us at local health fairs, festivals and the like.

Hospice of Chattanooga also offers a speaker’s bureau, providing speakers for community groups, civic clubs, churches, schools, associations, hospitals and service organizations. Our speaker’s bureau is made up of spokespersons from our volunteer and administrative staff who can discuss general hospice information, end-of-life issues, explain “palliative care”, or volunteer opportunities. We will tailor presentations for the intended audience.

Should you want a speaker from Hospice of Chattanooga to make a presentation to your group, or if you would like to train as a spokesperson, please call Hospice of Chattanooga, (423) 892-4289, and ask for Volunteer Services.

There are also some great resources out there where you can find more information that you might need on making a decision about hospice or palliative care. We are sharing these with our endorsement:

  • www.caringinfo.org - a national engagement initiative to improve care at the end of life

  • www.nhpco.org - National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization

  • www.n4a.org - National Association of Area Agencies on Aging
